Welcome to our Capital Campaign Information page. On October 24, 2013, at the Second Century Reception, we publically kicked off the Campaign. It is with gratitude to all that have supported our efforts to date that we announce we have raised over $600,000 toward our $1-million dollar goal.
The Campaign has two facets, Baiting Hollow Scout Camp and the Council Service Center Education and Training Center. The upgrades, repairs, and additions at camp will improve the camping experience for thousands of Scouts, leaders and families. It will also expand our capacity, allowing even more children and young adults to participate.
The Council Service Center will receive much needed updates, the centerpiece of which will be a state-of-the-art Scout and leader education and training center.
Initial lead contributions have resulted in visible progress. At Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, completed projects include:
- Dining Hall Foundation
- New Visitor Bathrooms
- New Low Cope Course
At the Scout Service Center:
- Exterior Renovation
- Exterior Lighting
- Driveway and Parking Lot Paving
- In-ground Sprinklers
There is much more to do if we are to prepare Suffolk County Council to serve the next century of youth.
