Mission Statement
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in Scouting. Through the Council's F.D.R. Division, those individuals who are developmentally disabled, mentally retarded, physically handicapped, learning disabled, or special ed students can join in the Scouting experience.
The F.D.R. Division has Scouting programs to suit everyone!
In-School Scouting
This program provides special ed
students with
an opportunity to participate in Scouting. In-school
programs are supervised by special education teachers.
Group Home
and
Agency Scouting
This program provides and
educational and
recreational focus that teaches life and socialization
skills through indoor and outdoor activities
Traditional Scouting
We also provide traditional
Scouting programs for people
with special needs. This is a community-based program with
parents or volunteers serving as the leaders.
