Mission Statement

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in Scouting. Through the Council's F.D.R. Division, those individuals who are developmentally disabled, mentally retarded, physically handicapped, learning disabled, or special ed students can join in the Scouting experience.

The F.D.R. Division has Scouting programs to suit everyone!

In-School Scouting

This program provides special ed students with
an opportunity to participate in Scouting. In-school
programs are supervised by special education teachers.

Group Home and
Agency Scouting

This program provides and educational and
recreational focus that teaches life and socialization
skills through indoor and outdoor activities

Traditional Scouting

We also provide traditional Scouting programs for people
with special needs. This is a community-based program with
parents or volunteers serving as the leaders.
