A new program for young men and women ages 14 (who have completed the eighth grade) through 20. Venturing provides positive experiences to help young people mature and prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Venturing crews can specialize in a variety of avocation or hobby interests. Venturing programs are developed around six experience areas of emphasis, which are Citizenship, Leadership, Fitness, Social, Outdoors and Service.

Venturing 10th Anniversary Photo Contest

On March 7th and 8th, 2008, Venturing Crew 777 hosted the Spring 2008Suffolk County Council BSA Venturing Leadership Skills Course. In all, 37 participants, instructors and advisors were involved in a fantastic leadership development experience. In addition to the VLSC training,the young men and woman from 7 crews had fun and games and initiated planning for the Fall 2008 Venturing Weekend.
VOA at Patchogue Bowling Alley - February 28, 2008
"Fun was had by all who attended the February Venturing Officers Association (VOA) activity/meeting. We have 22 people from 5 crews (324, 272, 713, 1776 and 777). After bowling, we had a 1/2 meeting where we shared crew and council past and upcoming activities, communication and special venturing opportunities"
