Scouting 2021 & Beyond

The Boy Scouts of America believes our organization has a social and moral responsibility to equitably compensate all victims who were abused during their time in Scouting.

We also have a duty to carry out our mission for years to come.

On Monday, March 8, 2021 Council President David Hunt addressed the membership of the Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America Live via Zoom and Facebook LIVE explaining how the National Bankruptcy may impact Scouting in Suffolk County and the need for the council to "Be Prepared."

You can watch David's message here

In addition, the National Boy Scouts of America has established a website to answer questions about the bankruptcy and restructuring plan. Please visit www.bsarestructuring.org

Below you can download a transcript of David's comments from the video and you can also download the FAQ which will answer many questions.

Thank you for your continued support of Scouting.
