New Scout Service Center and Scout Shop

Announcement - Scout Shop will be closed February 1 - February 8, 2022. Please plan accordingly. We need to shut down in order to set up the new store. The current scout shop is stocked so please purchase insignia and awards needed for February as soon as possible.

Great news! The new Council Service Center will be delivered more than two weeks EARLY, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Town of Brookhaven Parks Department employees who have been building out the suite. (And a special shout out to Chris Mehrman, the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal, for his constant coordination.)

I am sending this message to keep everyone in the council up to date with the new schedule planned for the relocation of the Council Service Center and Scout Shop.

The Council Service Center is OPEN and will remain open at our current location at 7 Scouting Boulevard until 5 PM on Friday, February 4th. The council office will be closed on Monday, February 7th & Tuesday, February 8th, and will reopen in the new office at One Independence Hill, Suite 202, Farmingville, at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 9th.

The current Scout Shop in Medford will be closing at 5 pm on January 31st. Please join us for our grand opening of our new Scout Shop at One Independence Hill on Wednesday, February 9th 10am. Please note that our Scout Shop will be closed for 8 days while we stock the new store, and plan accordingly for your advancement, insignia, or event needs before the end of January.

We are extremely excited about our new location, where we will continue to provide our Scouts and Scouters the service they deserve! The photos below were taken this morning on my visit to observe the final completion details for the suite. New beginnings for Suffolk County Council!

We are all looking forward to welcoming you to our new home on “The Hill.”

Council President, David Hunt
