Benjmain Tallmadge Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
This training is required for Cub Scout leaders that want to plan & carry out an overnight outing for their pack. Page 23 of the Guide to Safe Scouting says: “Adults giving leadership to a pack overnighter must complete Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) training to properly understand the importance of program intent, youth protection guidelines, health & safety, site selection, age-appropriate activities, & sufficient adult participation.”
*You must have a current BSA registration to attend trainings.
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) Training:
When: April 27-28, 2019 Check-in at 7:30 AM on 4/27 & set up camp. We should be finished by about 8:30 AM on Sunday 4/28.
Where: Cathedral Pines County Park – Rain or Shine
Cost: $40.00 per person, which includes all food, drinks, course materials
Deadline: Registrations must be received no later than Friday, April 19, 2019.
