Year Round Camping at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp
Baiting Hollow Scout Camp welcomes Crews, Troops, and Packs to join us for a camping weekend. The camp is available for camping on most weekends and you can check out cabin/campsite availability using our secure online reservation system.
Six cabins and twelve tent sites are available for weekend reservation from early September to mid-June. All reservations are for full weekends and include Friday & Saturday nights. Check-in begins at 6:00pm on Friday and check-out ends at 1:00pm on Sunday.
The camp is closed over the Easter and Christmas holidays and is unavailable for unit camping when supervised camp is in session (typically school winter recess, school spring recess, and mid-June through Labor Day weekend).
Cabins
There are six cabins available at The Hollow, two "Top of the Hill" cabins and four cabins in the lower part of the camp. "Top of the Hill" cabins are accessible from the main parking lot and have easy access to the Camp Office, Campmaster Cabin, Health Lodge, Trading Post, and Dining Hall. Chapels and worship areas are also "Top of the Hill". "Top of the Hill" cabins include:
- Shinnecock
- Training Lodge
Cabins in the lower part of the camp are a bit more secluded but require some hill climbing. Cabins on the west side of camp are accessible from the main parking lot. Those on the east side of camp are accessible from the lower parking lot. Cabins in the lower part of the camp include:
- McMorris Lodge (West side of camp)
- Penataquit (West side of camp)
- Tuocs (East side of camp)
- Boathouse (East side of camp)
Weekend cabin fees vary based on the cabin size, amenities and sleeping capacity of each cabin ($125 to $500). Full payment is required at the time of booking. All booking prices include both Friday & Saturday nights. Tent Camping
There are twelve tent camping sites available at The Hollow, seven "top of the hill" sites and five sites in the lower part of the camp. "Top of the hill" sites are accessible from the main parking lot and have easy access to the Camp Office, Campmaster Cabin, Health Lodge, Trading Post, Training Lodge, and Dining Hall. Chapels and worship areas are also "top of the hill". "Top of the hill" tent sites include:

- Treasure Oaks West
- Baden Powell South
- Baden Powell North
- James E. West
- Nathan Hale
- Dan Beard

- Pwamas (West side of camp)
- Upper Roanoke (West side of camp)

Weekend tent site fees are calculated at $6 per person for both youth & adults. Payment for a minimum of 5 campers per site is required. All booking prices include both Friday & Saturday nights. Program activities for weekend campers include:
- Archery Range (September through Thanksgiving, April 1 through mid-June)
The archery range will be open for a few hours on Saturday mornings on a first come, first served, general admission basis for units camping with us for the weekend. Our Campmasters will have specific hours at check-in. There is no fee for this activity.
- Rifle Range (September through mid-June) Aged 12 and over only.
The rifle range will be open for a few hours on Saturday afternoons on a first come, first served, general admission basis for units camping with us for the weekend. Our Campmasters will have specific hours at check-in. There is no fee for this activity.
- Climbing Tower, Low COPE Course & High COPE Courses (September through Thanksgiving, April 1 through mid-June)
COPE & Climbing activities must be booked at least two weeks in advance and can be booked through our online facilities reservation system (look for COPE & Climbing Programs). Check out our COPE Program Brochure for more information and pricing. Cub Scout participation in climbing is limited to Half Day Climbing sessions only.
Cancellation Policy Effective with reservations made 08/01/16 and later.
Credits are valid for 12 months. Cancellations must be made to 631-727-1614. Our reservation & booking calendar for Fall 2023 thru Spring 2024 is open.
