Posted 7/15/19: Baiting Hollow Receives BSA National Camp Accreditation
On Thursday, July 11, 2019, the annual accreditation for Baiting Hollow Scout Camp was conducted by representatives of the Northeast region. Our camp met all of the 136 standards for Scouts BSA Camps. These standards covered everything in the following categories: administration, program, health and safety, food service, staff training and staffing levels, continuous camp improvement, and sustainability.
This year the visitation team consisted of four scouters from different councils throughout the region. The chairman was John Willemain from Western Massachussetts Council. John serves there as the Vice-President of Program. He has over 30 years of camp experience to draw upon.
Pictured below are Ryan DiBernardo, our Scout executive; Andy Calev, Chairman of the Suffolk County Council Executive Board; Brett Keeler, Baiting Hollow Scout Camp Program Director; and John Willemain, Chairman of the Visitation team.
All of the visitors were very impressed with the Baiting Hollow Staff and Program and were very complimentary of our camp and council.
Congratulations to all of the Baiting Hollow Staff for a job well done.
