November 18, 2017 for ALL Commissioners
The College of Commissioner Science offers commissioners an opportunity to continue their training beyond the position specific training for commissioners. This training opportunity will benefit both new and experienced field and administrative commissioners. This college will be hosted by the Suffolk County Council with assistance from the Theodore Roosevelt Council and Greater New York Councils. All commissioners are welcome to participate.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Thomas Bain, Area 2 Commissioner will speak about the changing opportunities and challenges for enhanced unit service in our councils.
Choose one of five tracks
BACHELORS OF COMMISSIONER SCIENCE (Unit Service track)- Courses for current or future Unit Commissioners.
BACHELORS OF COMMISSIONER SCIENCE (Roundtable Service track)- For current, new, & potential staff to recruit, retain, and enhance RT programs.
MASTER OF COMMISSIONER SCIENCE- Courses for current or future Assistant District Commissioners.
DOCTOR OF COMMISSIONER SCIENCE- Candidates identify, develop and present a project or service concept to peers.
CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES- Courses to enhance unit service for field and administrative commissioners.
