Introduction to Cold Weather Camping

Camping is easy when it’s warm. What happens when you’re tent camping in February with a high of 34° F and a low of 18° F? Camping in the cold is not as scary as it might seem when you and your troop are prepared with the right gear, practices and mindset. In this class, we’ll discuss the basics of cold weather camping so that you and your troop can brave the weather, camp all year round, and discover that some of the most magical campouts occur in the cold.

The Intro to Cold Weather Camping class is open to all Scouters at no cost with a maximum class size of 20.
