High Adventure Activities can range from local day events to two (2) week treks on the far side of the country. They’re fun and engaging. They’re a great way to keep older Scouts and Scouters excited and involved.
Introduction to High Adventure will provide Scouters a primer on what High Adventure activities are available to a Unit. The class is designed to help attendees move beyond their regular, trailer-based campouts that they and their Scouts have all done too many times.
The class will discuss what activities Units can do, the basics of planning them and the benefit of the troop.
After the class, attending Scouters should be prepared to have a high adventure discussion with their PLC and understand how to plan from there.
