Honoring the Memory of Andrew McMorris
We would like to ask for your support in honoring Andrew McMorris of Troop 161. Twelve year old Scout Andrew McMorris was struck by a car and killed while on a hike with his Scout Troop.
Troop 161, the McMorris Family and the Suffolk County Council have set out to honor Andrew by raising money for the naming rights for the new Adirondack Cabin at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp. After speaking with the troop and the family, Suffolk County Council, BSA, has started a memorial fund in Andrew's name. The goal is to build a new Adirondack Cabin and name it McMorris Lodge in honor of Andrew. This new 3,200 square foot cabin will serve Scouts and Scouters for years to come.
Please help us to remember Andrew far into the future.
Anyone interested in supporting this project can make a tax deductible contribution to the Suffolk County Council BSA - Andrew McMorris Fund.
