Roundtable

Roundtable is very informative to all leaders, Cubmasters and their assistants, Scoutmasters and their assistants, committee chairpersons and their members, along with any interested parents. In addition to the supplemental training, at Roundtable there are ideas for pack meetings, specialty training for troops, information concerning district and council events. So come on down, meet the Roundtable staff, get some new ideas and information that's so important and enjoy some refreshments. Roundtable takes place on the second Tuesday of every month at the Islip Middle School.  Looking forward to seeing you all at the next Roundtable.

District Committee Meeting

The Sagtikos District Meeting takes place on the first Thursday of every month at the Church of the Latter Day Saints, 351 Brook Avenue in Bay Shore.

Summer Merit Badge Program

Summer is just around the corner and the Sagtikos District has put together an excellent six (6) week Summer Merit Badge Program that offers a variety of merit badges available to Boy Scouts this summer.  Each merit badge has at least two (2) dates in parentheses next to it. The Boy Scout must show up for both days of the merit badge class in the same location, otherwise they will receive a partial for the merit badge.  Merit Badge Counselors that will be used differ for Islip and Babylon.  Boy Scouts can take one (1) badge in Islip and a different badge in Babylon.  Full uniform is required. Boy Scouts must show up with the merit badge pamphel, the merit badge worksheet, a blue card signed by the appropriate Scoutmaster, a pen, $1.00 for each visit, and any material that supports the merit badge requirements.Parents and Guardians must sign the Scout in and out of every session.

If a Boy Scout is of legal age to drive, please be advised that according to the BSA rules and regulations, they are not permitted to drive themselves to any Scouting function.  They are not covered under the BSA insurance.
