Incident Reporting

Unit Performance Scorecard - The goal of the Sagtikos Unit Performance Scorecard (UPS) is to encourage and track unit progress in various measures such as leader training, advancement, membership, roundtable attendance and activities. These measures are basic indicators of unit health.  Verification of completion of these measures will be done by the Unit Commissioner, Unit Leader, and Committee Chair. Units are encouraged to submit a form when a milestone is reached so we can establish a leaderboard.  This form can be submitted up to 3 times during the year as a unit progresses through Bronze->Silver->Gold. Final forms will be due at the January 2027 Roundtable.  Units who complete a UPS for 2026 will be recognized with a ribbon for their unit flag and receive a certificate.  Completed forms should be submitted to dianne.corallo@scouting.org.

Sagtikos 250 Summer Challenge discovering 250 years of America through the communities of Babylon & Islip. 

Competition will run from July 4 - September 8. Award ceremony will be held at the Fall Expo. Points totals will be posted periodically on a “Leaderboard” on our District Page.

Sagtikos Summer Social 2026 - Wed., Aug. 5 at 6pm, Salt Shack, 200 Ocean Parkway, Babylon

Join us for an evening of fellowship and music!  (food available for purchase)

Training 

Angling Educator Training Course - Wed., Aug. 12. 7pm-10pm,  Baiting Hollow Scout Camp Training Lodge

Angling Educator Training provides Leaders with the skills and knowledge to teach fishing to youth. It also prepares Leaders to plan and run Unit fishing events. Whether you’re a lifelong angler or have no prior fishing experience, you will be trained to confidently guide youth in developing basic fishing skills.

HIKES -

Citizenship in the Nation hike will be rescheduled to Aug. 15th.  Info. and registration link to folllow.

Roundtable is held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 455 Hunter Ave., West Islip at 7:30pm.   

Roundtable is a great way to learn and meet other leaders and share experiences.  Do you have questions?  Would you like to hear about a particular topic?  Let us know! We are here to support you!
